The Morning of the Towers, The Emperors Children [vid]
The following is a video that discusses a particular scene in The Emperor's Children, by Claire Messud. The video focuses on the scene wherein two of the central characters watch the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001. The video discusses some of the interesting changes that happen in characters' relationships, and the novel more broadly, as a result of the fall of the towers--a moment that stands as an interesting turning point.
